Prospectus of Master of Islamic Education (M.Pd.I.)

Master Program in Islamic Education has a concentration in the thinking of Islamic education. The master program provides greater opportunities for the application of the knowledge gained during the lectures through practical activities and internships, and as a consequence the student will obtain a balance between the ability of theory and practical experience, which is expected to be from opening job opportunities more quickly after graduate. The master's program is expected to deepen and develop the understanding of Islamic studies.Main Competencies, directed to:
a. Having integrity of Islam with:

• Understanding and developing the Islamic way of life by mastering al Islam in its various aspects.
• Mastering and developing history of Islamic civilization, especially in terms of orienting the educational philosophy of Islam.

b. Especially for the concentration of PAI, is expected to master the scientific and management skills learning PAI field of study at school or madrasah to be directed to:

• Understand and master studies history of Islamic education.
• Understanding and mastering the science of Islamic education.
• Understanding and mastering system development PAI learning.
• Understanding and mastering the curriculum development PAI.
• Understand and master the psychology of children and learning
• Ability to solve problems of PAI in schools and madrasah through action research.
• Developing the concepts and ideas of Islam through in-depth research in the form of monumental scientific work (thesis).

c. Especially for concentrations of Program Pendidikan Islam (PPI), is expected to develop ideas and master of science as a system of Islamic education institutions by:

• Understand and master the scientific foundation of Islamic education.
• understanding and understand the various paradigms and theories of Islamic education.
• Mastering the psychology of religion in Islamic perspective.
• Understand and analyze the various policies of Islamic education mainly occurred in Indonesia through the critical studies.
• Conducting research Islamic education and develop it in order to promote Islamic education.
• Developing a variety of theories and models of learning in the Islamic education system.
• Developing the concepts and ideas of Islamic education through in-depth research in the form of scientific papers monumental (thesis).

d. Having the ability to build the civilization of Islam marked the expertise to work, with:

• Master the research methodology of religion and education.
• Mastering the measurement and assessment of learning outcomes (concentration PAI).
• Mastering the evaluation of educational programs Islam (concentration Program Pendidikan Islam (PPI)).
• master a variety of theories, concepts, and Islamic thoughts and Islamic education in a comprehensive manner.

Support Competence Reviews Every graduate of M.Pd.I. should be able to:

• Mastering Arabic and English as a tool to understand the texts of Islamic education.
• Understanding and develop the science (Islamic education) by using the perspective of philosophy of science is based on Islamic values.
• Communicate and articulate the idea of ??a plan of scientific work (thesis) through seminar thesis proposal.
< li class = "uli"> Understanding and elaborating the issues and needs of the students in relation to Islamic education as well as demonstrate the various alternatives or solutions that are relevant to the needs.
• Understanding and mastering of information technology needed for the development of Islamic education.

Graduates of the Master in Islamic Education can work and career as Teachers, Researchers and as Expert.
